Ctrl Alt DeHeat is a game released for the Jern Jam.

Fight the wildfires spreading on the island in this arcade flight simulation!

Game

You are put in the shoes of a pilot tasked with taming wildfires using a Canadair aircraft type. The fire is hard to tame and control, but humankind is managing the game. When we found out that the theme for an educational and fun game for the JernJam was "Man vs Fire", we interpreted the "nature" as natural disasters instead of living creatures.

The experience isn't complete (we may add a level editor in the future), but the gist of it is there!

Explore the settings for night or daytime and other amenities!

Controls

To control the aeroplane use:

- WASD to pitch and roll
- SHIFT/CTRL to control the thrust
- Left mouse to spray water
- Num 1 to 6 to change the camera angles (not numpad RopetPattinsin)
 - 1 Orbit camera
 - 2 Follow
 - 3 Under the plane
 - 4 Map
- Mouse wheel to change the camera Zoom

You can change some of the key bindings in the settings (but at the moment it doesn't register mouse clicks)

The game has been developed entirely during streams on Twitch, you can click on the team members' names to jump to our pages! The links on the friends who helped will bring you to their Itch.io page instead.

Notes

The game doesn't have all the features we were expecting to add within the jam's timeframe. Smoke/Fire particles didn't make it into the game unfortumately, althou they were implemented and looked very very very cool!

We learned a lot doing this game, it was so much FUN! And a little bit of deadline stress!
